Ascot Africa Limited is a holding company for complementary businesses and services in the Nigerian and West African oil and gas sector. In February 2009, Ascot acquire the West African assets of Willbros Group Inc – an international contractor that provides construction and engineering services to the oil & gas and power industries.With this acquisition, Ascot became the largest indigenous company in the Nigerian oil and gas market as well as in the West African sub-region. The new company benefits from a solid track record and storied technical expertise and capability. We have 46 years of experience providing solutions in some of the most difficult terrain in Nigeria and West Africa.

Facilities
Ascot operates from three key locations: Choba Base, Isiodu Fabrication Facility and Fortune Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Choba Base is the strategic focal point of our swamp and pipeline operations. It has a 70-acre land surface area with the following facilities: 500m of usable water frontage with a 100m jetty; 160m of secured water frontage; corrosion and concrete coating facilities; and living quarters, offices, workshops, warehouses and fabrication facilities. It is accessible by road and water and is in close proximity to an airport.
The Isiodu facility serves as the base for our coating and fabrication services. It has a land surface area of 42 acres with extendable capabilities. It has a 60m jetty, 160m secured water frontage and 2 surface coating facilities.
Furthermore it has 2600sqm fabrication facilities with overhead crane, offshore structural fabrication facilities, multiple temporary weather shelters, hard standing for construction and testing; as well as offices and warehouses. It is also accessible by road and water and is in close proximity to an airport.
The office in the Fortune Towers in Victoria Island, Lagos, is the base for our project management, engineering, procurement and logistics teams for our Nigerian operations. It also houses corporate management for our West African operations.
Equipment
It is our goal to always meet the requirements of our clients. In order to accomplish this, we must ensure that we constantly deploy the best equipment available.
The Willbros 318 is a combination derrick and pipe lay barge. She is equipped with a 8-point mooring system and a fully revolving 250 short ton crane. It can accommodate up to 160 people and has an endorsed pipe alley.
The WB82 is a work barge fully equipped with a revolving 100 ton offshore crane. It can accommodate up to 150 people.
The M/V Eros III is a multi-purpose vessel used for construction, surveyors and project support.
The Future
The Future of Ascot promises to be eventful. With a massive increase in our capacity, expertise and the scope of our services, Ascot is set to become the service provider of choice for pipeline fabrication and other associated services.
We will provide these services equally onshore, across the swamps and offshore – along the continental shelf of West Africa.
